Neue Zurcher Zeitung predicts rise of CASA technology | August 1, 2010
''...The history of the sperm crisis began in the 1980s. At that time, researchers had observed in some studies worsening of semen quality of men. Scientists in Copenhagen then analyzed the data from 62 studies from the years 1938 to 1990 and found that semen volume and sperm count had actually decreased significantly. Each year, the number of ejaculated sperm was decreasing by about one million per milliliter. If this trend will continue, it will reach the zero point about year 2060. Before the human race would wipe out pollution and war, we probably would die out because of declining fertility.''

Biophos introduces the QualiSperm Animal Droplet recognition module | May 15, 2010
Based on customer feedback out of the animal market, Biophos acknowledged the need of a solution which automatically recognizes droplets in mainly boar sperms. As these droplets have an influence on the boar sperm quality, Biophos in close cooperation with some major animal breeding organizations developed the QualiSperm Droplet Recognition Module. This module is now completely integrated into the QualiSperm animal solution which measures concentration and motility. First reactions from the market are positive and we are recognized for the fact that our solution is able to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our customers. |
